Campaign introduction by Pastor Chris

Dear Church Family,

Someone asked me recently what would happen if New Life Church no longer, or dare I say never existed?  I was immediately immersed in feelings of sadness.  The reason for this is that some of my most dramatic life changing moments occurred at this church.  I believe many of you can identify with the same feelings and thoughts.  Many of you were saved here, filled with the Holy Spirit, or met your spouse here.  The point is you were impacted by the community of believers we call New Life Church.

This is the reason that I want to introduce you to the “Legacy of Vision” campaign.  This church has always had as its impetus a clearly defined purpose and vision.  This is important since God said, “without vision people will perish”.  I am convinced that we stand at the precipice of a faith stretching opportunity.  With all the great things that have occurred over the years through New Life, there are still lost people who need a church that has vision from the Lord.

I believe that in some ways we are limited, and that is the reason we are encouraging you to give sacrificially towards the “Legacy of Vision” campaign.  Imagine how many more lost and hurting people we could reach if we no longer were dealing with a sizeable mortgage.  There is also great need to bring a more usable ministry environment to our campus so we can better minister to the needs of our church family and those we will be reaching with the gospel.  Church planting and a strong surge in mission’s opportunities and needs compel me to believe that God will raise up sacrificial givers for this campaign.

I believe that for the next three years as we endeavor to rise to this challenge, God is going to empower us to reach our goal. It is with excitement and faith that I ask you to consider what your part will be in the Legacy of Vision campaign. May the Lord bless you and keep you!
